- Body-Mind Centering®: Belonging and Transformation
DE+EN | 5x Thursday with Julia Kleinknecht | drop-in
Five evenings about belonging, transformation and an embodied relationship to ourselves and our planet.
In our busy modern (city-) lives we can easily forget that we are nature, too, our organisms following the same patterns as all other components of earth.
Body is home. It’s our first environment. It is the medium through which we know the earth. Our relationship with our bodies affects our interaction with the world. Inhabiting ourselves cell by cell enables us to inhabit our environment with integrity and to recognise our role in larger systems.
In this series I’ll bring together principles of Body Mind Centering ® and the ancient eastern wisdom of the five phases of transformation / elements.
Through the curious and mindful exploration of precise anatomical structures like organs, bones, muscles… we are enabled to refine our relationship to self and other, experience differentiation, support and connectedness. Following the dialogue of sensation and movement we can find pathways into expression and agency.
Every evening will be dedicated to one of the elements and the exploration of associated structures / principles through movement, (self) touch and reflection. There is time and space for guided somatisation, working in duets or group scores, individual integration and group sharing.
