- Trauma and Self-Regulation
DE | 2-day workshop with Pia Witthöft | part 2
The consequences of trauma are diverse and always have an impact on the body: Body awareness, the ability to feel oneself and to experience one's own body as a safe place, to develop stability and regulation and also support and protection for injuries can sometimes be massively impaired. Embodied empowerment stands for the potential to find a self-determined, body-oriented approach to solutions and relief: Structured for the facilitator and transparent for those affected, the process of inner upliftment can be individually strengthened.
The two seminars are about learning to classify the term “trauma” and to understand its origins, effects and connections in the context of a somatic psychological approach.
We use somatic and creative methods to approach possible areas of experience. Self-awareness is the focus of this seminar. Theoretical orientations include the polyvagal theory and the model of the chakras as fields of development from integrative yoga psychology.
How are the seminars structured?
The seminars develop the topic along the development fields of the chakra model of integrative yoga psychology. Seminar 1 provides essential theoretical background, which is briefly repeated in seminar 2 and integrated into the context. Both parts can also be attended independently of each other. (For participants without any previous experience, we recommend booking the first part).
