- Intuitive Thai Meridian Massage (ITMM)
Workshop & 1st module of the ITMM training
This event is the first module of Intuitive Thai Meridian Massage (ITMM), but can be booked seperately as workshop as well.
It focusses on the introduction and the basics of ITMM massage. This workshop or module leads into the the principles of touch and guides through all possible massage positions and allows participants* to practice a complete massage sequence from foot to head at the end.
Curriculum:
- Friday evening- approx. Saturday noon: focus on supine position
- Saturday afternoon until about Sunday noon: focus on side position and use of the foot for massage
- Sunday afternoon: completion of the sequences and repetition/deepening
What does Thai Yoga Massage involve?
Thai Yoga Massage is a traditional form of massage from Thailand, where it is called "Nuad Phaen Boran" (ancient healing touch). It originated in India and contains elements from Ayurveda and Yoga. In addition to the original form, a new dynamic style has developed in recent years.
The massage takes place lightly dressed with cotton pants and shirt on a floor mat. The palms, fingers, arms, legs and body weight are used in a way that is effective for both the receiver and the giver.
The advanced training introduces the essential massage practices of "Thai Yoga Massage" with its own energetic meridian system (Sip Sen). This is done on the one hand by teaching practical skills in a massage sequence, on the other hand by intuitive exercises and getting to know the principles of touch, which allow the practitioner to develop an individual physical approach for this kind of bodywork.

The advanced training ITMM (Intuitive Thai Meridian Massage) 2023 takes place in 2 parts with 2 weekend modules each in presence. In addition, there are 2 dates for repetition and supervision

Review & Supervision | Between module 1+2 and module 2+3 there will be time of accompanied review and supervision. The successful participation of the basic training (68 hours) is certified on a certification from the Somatic Academy Berlin. |

Lecturer for Thai Yoga Massage, alternative practitioner, teacher for GYROTONIC ®
has been practicing Thai Yoga Massage for many years. During his yearly stays in Asia since 2004 he has learned this form of massage and other energetic bodywork at all major schools in Thailand. Since 2008 he has been working as a lecturer for Thai Yoga Massage. He is an alternative practitioner and combines the balancing effect of his bodywork with the dynamic work as a GYROTONIC ® and movement teacher. He is also at the end of a three-year training to become a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) and uses elements and insights of this trauma treatment according to Peter Levine in his work.
