- Confidence // Somatic Yoga & Breath
Workshop & training module 7 with Marion Evers
Allowing the breath to be
This event can be booked as workshop or attend as module of the advanced training in Somatic Yoga. Sunday afternoon offers to all participants of the complete yoga an additional mentoring until 5:30 pm.
Previous experience in somatics/bodywork/yoga is recommended.
What does this workshop include?
It approaches within the theme CONFIDENCE the fundamental structure of the breath: the possibility to direct the breath willingly, such as in the structures of Pranayama and the fascinating experience of allowing the breath and consciously experiencing this released 'ATEM'. The discovery and experience of our own breath, the individual triad of in-breath, out-breath and breath rest fills us intrinsically rhythmically, because up to the depth of the spatial expansions of our body and beyond, we are breath-moved and full of the potential of sensitive body sensations (4e cognition). The differentiated experience of the tension sensations happens through a collected sensing and the openness for bodily sensations in which the relation between inside and outside perception can regulate itself, for example, in the body tone
- Method focus: Yoga & Experiential Breath
- Principals: Breathing spaces / breathing rhythm / breathing power / constriction and expansion / multidimensionality / Pranayama / Breath & Meditation
- Experiential anatomy: Breathing
The workshop works with both approaches to the breath and asks for differences and similarities.
Feel free to bring your own questions and experiences about breath & yoga. Our body tone can slowly rebalance and offers a better foundation for deep relaxation and meditation.
For whom is this workshop recommended?
- Yoga teachers who have already enjoyed a basic yoga training and are looking for inspiration and reflection for their own work
- Yoga practitioners who want to find a new, sensory-perceptual approach and deepen their practice
- Researchers and people interested in all somatic methods who appreciate an interdisciplinary approach
- Pedagogues, therapists, doctors, etc., who are looking for impulses of a well-founded body and movement perception
The modules 6 - 11 of our Somatic Yoga training allow to deepen the knowledge about somatic methods from breath work according to Prof. Ilse Middendorf, Continuum, Somatic Voice and Feldenkrais Methode in relation to the yoga repertoire in individual modules/workshops. The expanding understanding of 'knowing oneself' opens up a new space of freedom. The design and composition of the yoga sequences in this further encounter with freedom is supported by the rhythms and decision criteria of the Somatic Methods and by improvisational strategies. Prior experience in somatics/bodywork/yoga is recommended for the workshop.
