Breath online - introductory series
DE+EN | NEW 1x week
Feb. 11 2025 – Apr. 8 2025
This introductory series focuses on experiencing and getting to know your own breath. Gentle, consciously sensed movements and a mixture of devotion and attention to your own breathing offer a variety of very beneficial possibilities.
This way of engaging with the breathing process is not linked to the aspect of ‘doing’, but rather ‘allowing’ and ‘engaging’ with your own breathing rhythm - it moves - in a relaxing way! - beyond the idea that you have to ‘train’ your breath or breathe ‘correctly’.
Breathing experienced in this way (according to Prof. Ilse Middendorf) can lead to deep calm, serenity, confidence and alert vitality. The breath is already there in its expressive power and pleasure.
Learning objectives:
After this series, participants will be able to
- perceive their own breathing in a more differentiated way
- discover a gentle approach to the breath as relaxing, immediately stress-relieving, regenerating and refreshing at the same time
- differentiate between voluntary breath control and the power of authorised breathing
The course involves sitting, standing and moving.
It is best to provide a stool or wooden chair without a backrest.
No previous knowledge is required. You are very welcome!
