Continuum

Continuum

What is Continuum?

Continuum is a somatic approach that invites us to tune into our body as a living process, as an ongoing orchestration of communication and resonance, as a creative intelligence inherent in every cell.

What is Continuum?

We can experience that we are movement, and that the movement we are influences the movement we do. We come into direct sensory contact with an all-pervading regulative dynamic.
Breath and voice, a gentle dynamic stimulation of movement and a receptive sensory form of attention allow us to perceive movement impulses that arise within the body. Consciously giving space to these movements promotes complex processes of self-regulation that are often accompanied by mental and emotional clarity - a feeling of nourishment, connection and security that is often described as "coming home".
We leave our conventional rational orientation and linear thinking is replaced by a multi-directional embodied body-mind thinking that can be felt as beneficial and connect us to greater completeness and "informedness".

Currently living in the UK, Cherionna has a private practice including online and in-person mentoring and supervision in Continuum, Biodynamics and prenatal and birth trauma/therapy.

Drawing on her experience as a dance/movement psychotherapist, prenatal and birth therapist, and years of practice in different forms of bodywork, yoga, breath work, mindfulness meditation, she has been exploring effective ways of working with trauma using Continuum as the main modality.
